Setting up a Backstabbed! dedicated server
While our friends at CubeKrowd
graciously host Backstabbed! at play.cubekrowd.net, and
you can also get a private lobby at
StickyPiston,
if you would like to self-host your own Backstabbed! dedicated server,
Backstabbed! will run on a Minecraft server of the correct version.
Please follow the instructions on
setting up a server
at the Minecraft Wiki to get started.
Next, set up the Backstabbed! world on your server.
Once you have a server up and running, you can unzip the Backstabbed!
zip you downloaded above directly into your server folder.
This should create a new world folder whose name starts with
Backstabbed. Specify the name of that folder as the
level-name in your server.properties.
Example: level-name=Backstabbed v1.3.3 for MC 1.21 by Bagel Buddies
Finally, set up the Backstabbed! server resource pack.
If you would like to let players automatically download the
Backstabbed! resource pack required for proper gameplay, you must set
the appropriate server resource pack options in
server.properties. Both resource-pack and
resource-pack-sha1 need to be set according to the
values in the following table corresponding to your Backstabbed!
version:
